Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything done through your account. Do not share your account with others.

You describe a workplace or personal conversation, choose an objective, and the service returns AI-generated suggestions: a read of the situation, phrasing options, likely responses, and a suggested next move. Suggestions are drafts for you to judge and edit, not decisions made on your behalf.

• Free use includes a limited number of analyses. Paid plans are Pro Monthly at US$14 per month and Pro Annual at US$119 per year.
• Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time from your account's billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Prices are shown in US dollars. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes may be added at checkout, and payment processing is handled by Paddle.com.
• We may change prices or plan features. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are also governed by Paddle.com's Buyer Terms. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Andrea Rosales remains the provider of the Say This Instead service itself.

You agree not to:

• use the service to harass, threaten, defame, deceive, manipulate, or coerce another person;
• submit content you have no right to share, or content containing other people's sensitive personal data (for example health, financial, or government identifiers);
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or resupply the service, or use it to build a competing product;
• interfere with the service's security, availability, or usage limits, including by automating access or evading quotas;
• use the service where doing so would break applicable law or your own workplace, professional, or confidentiality obligations.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, or where required to protect the service or other users.

Suggestions are generated by large language models. They can be wrong, incomplete, generic, or misread the situation, and identical inputs can produce different outputs. You are responsible for reviewing anything before you say, send, or act on it, and for the consequences of doing so.

Say This Instead is a communication aid. It is not medical, mental-health, psychological, psychiatric, legal, HR, or financial advice, and using it does not create a practitioner-client or attorney-client relationship. If you are dealing with harassment, discrimination, retaliation, a safety risk, a legal dispute, or a mental-health concern, speak to a qualified professional or the appropriate authority. If you are in crisis or someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services.

• You keep ownership of the situations and text you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content in order to run the service (including sending it to our AI processing providers), to operate features you use such as saved history, and to maintain and secure the service.
• You may use the suggestions the service returns to you, including for commercial purposes, without further permission from us.
• We own the service itself: the software, prompts, design, brand, wordmark, and the phrase "You handle the person. We handle the ego." Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or discontinue parts of the service. If we discontinue a paid plan you are on, we will give reasonable notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or that any suggestion will achieve a particular outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, damage to relationships, or employment or disciplinary outcomes. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time by writing to support@saycoach.app. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or non-payment.

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will update the effective date and make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of El Salvador, and the courts of El Salvador have jurisdiction over any dispute, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence.
